TMCI Padovan<\/strong> is excited to announce the filing of a new method to produce edible oils<\/strong> from microalgae, microscopic photosynthetic organisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TMCI Padovan<\/strong> funded a research project in collaboration with the Department of Biology of the University of Padua<\/strong>, together with scientists Tomas Morosinotto and Francesca Bucci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company’s R&D <\/strong>division and the department, in close collaboration with each other, have identified a particular type of microalgae that produces oil with an ideal composition for typical applications in the food industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This type of production can complement, and potentially replace, the use of vegetable oils such as palm oil which, despite its widespread use in the food industry, has a recognized lack of sustainability. All this could have a strong impact on our way of considering “good food” and allows the company to take another step towards the complete implementation of the principles of the circular economy.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
