The TMCI Padovan Pressure Tanks are the most diffused and versatile solutions for the sparkling wine (charmat method).
They are manufactured in strict compliance with the regulationsset by the relevant National Control Authority (PED). All these control operations and tests are carried out in our specialized production departments. The containers are usually tested at 6 bar (working pressure) and 9 bar (hydraulic pressure), while those for thermolysis are tested at 9 bar (working pressure) and 12 bar (hydraulic pressure). The same containers are also equipped with jacket for fermentation temperature control, refrigeration and any heating at the beginning of fermentation processes. The Pressure Tanks are made either of AISI 304/316 stainless steel with different finishing degrees, or of carbon steel with an internal edible epoxy-polyamine resin coat, that is exceptionally resistant to alkali and inorganic acids. The Pressure Tanks are equipped with accessories, like a 460x400 manhole with (pull-out) external arm, electric heaters applied on the jacket for the heating of the circulating solution, and a fixed stirrer. The Pressure Tanks can be equipped with automatic electronic systems for the control and storage of the process data (fermentation temperature, refrigeration, pressure, stirring).
